TUITION:
Tuition is due by the 10th of each month. After the 10th, a late fee of $10 will be added to your account.
This is our Studio policy. Family payment plans are available and can be organized through Heidi.

ATTENDANCE:
Dancers need to be in class to progress, grow and improve. Absences will be monitored. When a dancer is
absent 3 times in any required class, the dancer and parents will be notified. If the dancer is absent for a
4th time, they will be placed on probation and notified. If the dancer is absent again, she/he will be
removed from their company at the Director’s discretion. You must notify your company director when you
are going to miss class.
• Elite Company - allowed 4 excused absences
CHOREOGRAPHY:
We will be setting most company choreography August-October. Each piece will have a choreography
fee attached, ranging from $80-$130 per dance. To bring our Elite programs to the competitive level we
desire, bringing in innovative choreographers is a must. This comes at a price. Our in-house choreography is
done at lower rates, to help ease the cost of high priced choreography from outside teachers. If a dancer
cannot be in attendance when choreographer is setting his/her piece, she must find a dancer to learn in
his/her place (this is an exception to be cleared by your company director in advance and for valid
reason). The dancer standing in, must be approved of by your company director. She/He should also be
paid.
Optional pieces are set by invitation from the directors, or auditioned. Optional pieces will be rehearsed
during your assigned company rehearsal hour on fridays, and if needed on Saturdays leading up to
competition. These rehearsals are mandatory.
Solos, Duets, and Trios: Any company member has the option to compete a solo, duet, or trio.
Solos are a great way to receive one-on-one training and allow you to perfect your performance
skills. Choreography fees range from $200-$500, depending on the choreographer. Competition
fees range from $65-$110 per competition. Note: Parents/students are responsible for registering for
all solo competitions, with the exception of the team Conventions. These convention/ competitions
are by invite only and the studio will register your daughter for these competitions.

COSTUMING & ATTIRE:
Each competition piece and ballet recital piece will have a costume required. A costume fee will be
associated with each dance. We try to be aware of cost and keep them reasonably priced, ranging
from $50-100. Company members are required to purchase NEW Hi-Light Dance Academy warm-ups and
are required to wear them to competitions or performances. (Estimated cost $100). Company dancers
must purchase NEW company leotard to be worn weekly during set classes and/or rehearsals. (Estimated
cost $50). Also, company members may purchase a garment bag ($20).
